What we do
US hospitals are required by federal law to publish their prices, but they do it in files with millions of rows that almost nobody can open. UninsuredCost reads those public files and shows the same information in tables you can compare. Every number comes from a hospital's own file, with its date and a link to the source.
What we are not
We are not a medical authority, a healthcare provider or an insurer, and we do not claim any expertise in medicine. We do not recommend tests, treatments or hospitals, and nothing on this site is medical advice. We only republish, in a readable form, information that hospitals and government agencies already make public.
Independence and funding
No hospital, insurer or provider pays to appear on this site or to change how it is shown. Hospitals are always sorted by published cash price. The site may show advertising; ads never change the data. If we ever add referral links, they will be labeled.
Errors and contact
We read the files the way the hospitals wrote them; see our methodology. If something is wrong, tell us at contact@uninsuredcost.com: we check it against the source and log every correction publicly.
